Now with FetchTV you can set Freeview recordings for your SmartBox from your PC, Mac or even your mobile phone - wherever you happen to be. And now there's a great new iPhone app too!

ACTIVATE YOUR SMARTBOX

Before you use Remote Recordings for the first time, make sure you have a FetchTV account and that you have activated your SmartBox and linked it to your FetchTV account.

If you are unsure whether you have done this, please log in to your FetchTV account and click on MANAGE DEVICES to make sure your SmartBox is registered to your account.

If you have not activated your SmartBox you will need a Free FetchTV account and a registered SmartBox click here to sign up for an account.

To register your SmartBox against your FetchTV account, press the MENU button on your remote control, go to FETCHTV and register the box using the mobile number you used when you set up your FetchTV account..

HOW TO...

SET REMOTE RECORDINGS FROM YOUR PC

• Log in to your FetchTV account using your username and password.
• Go to TV Listings in What's on or in My Fetch
• Scroll through the guide to find a programme you want to record.
• Click on the programme to display more information and to set reminders and recordings.
• Click on "Record this on my SmartBox"
• You will receive a pop up message saying "This recording has been sent to your SmartBox."

SET RECORDINGS FROM YOUR MOBILE

If you have an internet enabled mobile phone, simply launch your phone's web browser and go to www.fetchtv.co.uk

Sign in to your FetchTV account using your username and password and follow the steps above.

Please note that you can only set recordings if you are logged in to your FetchTV account.

If you have forgotten your password you can click on the "forgotten your password" link on the log in page and you will be sent an email to reset your password.

SET RECORDINGS FROM YOUR IPHONE APP

Before you do anything you will need to download your iPhone app and install this on your iPhone.

Next, you will need to log in to FetchTV and get your REMOTE RECORDING PASSWORD from the box on the right of this page. This is very important and your recordings cannot be set without it.

Finally, browse through the schedule on your app, find a show you would like to record and press the RECORD button. The first time you do this you will need to log in to your app.

To log in to your FetchTV app you must use the email address you use to log in to your FetchTV account and the REMOTE RECORDING PASSWORD displayed on this page.

Once a a recording request is successful you will receive the message: This Record Request has been sent to your SmartBox. If the request is unsucessful please check your email address and REMOTE RECORDING password and try again.
